Tinkerbell Half Marathon Recap: Disney Fun and Carbo Loading!

I flew in on Friday and the race was on Sunday so you know that meant that I had to go into the park on Saturday, right? Yup! That is exactly what that meant. I wanted to make sure to take it easy and be good to my feet so I made sure to tell everyone that I would be walking slow and taking plenty of breaks. Everyone was very understanding! Our first park of the morning was Disney's California Adventure. My mom love absolutely loves the new Cars Land and wanted to make sure her husband got to experience Radiator Springs Racers. Despite a slow start, we were able to get on the ride and enjoy a fast pass for later.

SO EXCITED!!

Unfortunately, Toy Story was not up and running so after a few more rides we decided to head over to Disneyland and enjoy some lunch. Since I was in full carbo loading mode, I suggested we hit up the mexican themed restaurant Rancho Zocalo and enjoy some tacos! I love Rancho Zocalo - it's the only place inside Disneyland where I feel the ingredients are fresh and everything isn't overly processed. After lunch we decided to hit up a few more rides but we were sure to take it easy. My mom's husband did not enjoy California Screamin and was looking for a slow paced ride to finish out his night; A Small World it is!

Once we wrapped up It's a Small World it was time for the hubs and I to head out and get some dinner and get some sleep. I made reservations at Story Tellers Cafe [they have a buffet that my hubby enjoys thoroughly] and after glancing at the menu I decided on the simple and delicious pasta with marinara. I enjoyed a few bits of bread while diving head deep into my plate of pasta. I was only able to finish about half the meal, but felt satisfied enough that I had enough food in my system to carry me through the next morning. Once we wrapped up dinner, B and I headed home where I proceeded to crash out at the lame time of 7:30! I was surprised at how much sleep I actually got - I don't think I woke up until 2am which meant I got a good 6 hours of sleep - can't beat that!

Up next - costumes, nerves and starting lines oh my!!!
