And in true carbo loading fashion, we decided on The Rainforest Cafe for lunch. It was close to the expo and the food is pretty good so we figured why not! Plus - I got to eat french fries. Always a good day, folks.
SUPER EXCITED FOR FRIES, YO!
After chowing down we made our way to the expo. The Health and Fitness Expo was held inside the convention hall of the Disneyland Hotel. To say it was huge would be the understatement of the century - it was enormous. I felt like I was swimming in a sea of compression socks, gu samples and witty runner shirts. I made my way to the lower level of the hall to turn in my waiver and pick up my race bib. As the lady handed me my bib and my commemorative pin I immediately got teary eyed. It was all becoming real - in just 48 hours I would be running my very first half marathon. I started to feel like everything was coming full circle and that I was about to accomplish something amazing. Of course that also meant that the butterflies were also in full effect. In an attempt to get my mind off of the nerves, the hubs and did some shopping and immediately proceeded to the park.
Being that this was my first face and first "real" expo my knowledge and requirements are very limited. I enjoyed that it was held in such a huge building because even though there were twelve thousand runners participating, I didn't feel like I was crowded at all. But the scale of the even also meant that I kind of got lost... Which isn't all that bad except for the fact that I was trying to save my feet. BUT! In true geeky fashion I got to see Jeff Galloway [famous run disney trainer] so that was kind of awesome!
Coming up - a day in Disney while trying to "take it easy" before the big race.
What do you think of major race expo's?

I love big expos because of all the free stuff! #asian
